1. Who's Who

These terms are a contract between you (the “Customer”) and Belle Labs SAS, a French simplified joint-stock company registered in France (hereinafter “Belle Labs”).

By placing an order through our website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.

2. The Product

Bellechasse Foundation is ground Arabica coffee fortified with microencapsulated iron (ferric pyrophosphate). It is classified as a fortified food product, not a dietary supplement. We make every effort to describe our product accurately, but minor variations in appearance, packaging, or nutritional content may occur between batches.

3. The Fondatrice Program

The founding member (“Fondatrice”) program is a limited pre-launch offer for the first 1,000 customers to place a pre-order. As a Fondatrice, you receive:

  • Your first order ships with the first production run, before general availability
  • Founding member recognition and early access to future products
  • Exclusive access to Fondatrice subscription pricing when subscriptions become available. If you choose to subscribe, your rate is locked for as long as your subscription remains active. If you cancel, the rate lock ends and cannot be reinstated.

The Fondatrice program is available on a first-come, first-served basis and may be closed at any time once the founding cohort is full. The specific benefits, pricing, and terms of the Fondatrice offer are as displayed at the time of your pre-order.

4. How Payment Works (Deferred Charge)

When you join as a Fondatrice, we save your payment card details securely via Shopify Payments. However, your card is not charged at the time of sign-up.

You will only be charged when your order ships. Before we charge your card, we will send you an email notification with the expected charge amount and shipment date.

If your saved payment method fails at the time of shipment, we will contact you to update your details. If we cannot process payment after reasonable attempts, your order may be cancelled.

5. Subscriptions

Recurring subscriptions will be available after our initial product launch. Fondatrices will be offered exclusive subscription pricing before the general public. When subscriptions become available:

  • Fondatrice rate lock: founding members who subscribe will receive a locked subscription price for as long as their subscription remains active and in good standing
  • Recurring charges: your card will be charged automatically at each renewal interval based on your subscription plan
  • Changes: you may modify your subscription, skip a shipment, or update your payment method at any time through your account or by contacting us

If we need to change subscription terms materially, we will give you at least 30 days' written notice by email. You may cancel before the change takes effect.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your pre-order at any time before your card is charged, at no cost. Simply email hello@withbellechasse.com or use the cancellation option in your account.

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled — but you are covered by our money-back guarantee (see below).

EU/EEA customers: in addition to the above, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU. No reason is required. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@withbellechasse.com.

7. Love It, or Your First Order Is on Us

We want you to genuinely enjoy Bellechasse. If you are not satisfied with your first order, we will refund you in full — no questions asked.

To claim this guarantee:

  • Contact us at hello@withbellechasse.com within 30 days of receiving your first order
  • This guarantee applies to your first order only

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue this guarantee for future orders at our discretion, with notice posted on the website.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, photography, design, logos, the Bellechasse and Belle Labs names, and any related branding — is the property of Belle Labs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Belle Labs provides the website and products “as is.” We make no warranties, express or implied, beyond those required by law.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of our website or products is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

The law that governs these terms depends on where you are:

  • United States: These terms are governed by French law. Belle Labs SAS is a French company, and all contractual relationships are administered from France.
  • European Union: These terms are governed by French law. Disputes may be submitted to the competent courts in France. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
  • United Kingdom: These terms are governed by English law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
  • Australia: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee or right under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

11. Events Beyond Our Control

Belle Labs is not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes, acts of government, labor disputes, or infrastructure failures. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as practicable and use reasonable efforts to minimize the impact on your order.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of our website or products after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. General

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, Shipping & Returns, CGV, and Mentions Légales, constitute the entire agreement between you and Belle Labs.
